The fact that sony isn't trying to force it down our throat is what matters the most.

And not everyone plays online, some use the console as a entertainment system

Also this. I've been using mine for a while now for just Netflix.

And here you are completely bashing the Xbox for exploring this market.



Then you are apart of a very small majority. At some points most everyone is going to want to play an online game and with all the benefits of having PS+ including the ability to play online I see a very small fraction of the community not having it even though they technically "don't need it"

well xbox seemed way too focused on that, when it should be a game system 1st
hell i think having it do too much is more of a problem than anything, cause for anyone using it for all these things where other devices may be used, once it breaks they don't just lose the ability to play the games, but the ability to do whatever else that they were using the xbox for

and if someone suddenly decides they can't keep paying for ps+ they still have access to a number of useful things

If xbox was exploring that market it wouldn't have required xbox live to watch Netflix

If Microsoft weren't greedy making it appear that Xbox live is more of a deal to begin with. Essentially making it "required" for your average user.

Sony is making it more of an option for it just being online only which doesn't bother me, but if you do have it you get good returns through the subscription.

Sure everyone at some point will be wanting to get online which they can start paying for whenever instead of being nearly forced.

People can view it how they want, but to me MS is greedy.

yeah microsoft is a piece of shit, I honestly don't know why people still buy their products anymore. Microsoft tried to single handedly destroy gaming, if it weren't for Sony they would have done it with all this DRM and privacy bullshit.

but hey on the bright side if everyone thought like me and you then everyone on this earth would be fairly intelligent and there would be no one at the McDonalds drive-through early in the morning handing my my coffee.

Microsoft is greedy like every other big business. They can't hide from it since they are all out to make a profit.

Sony is just slipping all these little added features that you will be able to do without having PS+ when they know the large majority of people will buy it because of the one addition that trumps everything else; the ability to play games with your friends.

A lot of businesses aren't blatantly greedy like MS and EA.

How is Sony slipping in all these added features when most of them are already on PS3. They said pretty much from the get-go at the reveal that PS+ is required for online play. I find that hard to be ambiguous to be mixed with other features.
