Yup, its retarded. You can get a ticket for a blown headlight on the way to get your headlight fixed. I had to book it at the garage to get fixed but they couldn't take my car right away, so I got them to write me a note saying I had an appointment to get it fixed. I doubt it would have done anything if I got pulled over but at least maybe I could have made a plea for sympathy.

Why not fix your own headlight bulb? It's way cheaper and just as easy as putting gas in your car

The place I went to didn't charge for labour so it was basically the cost of the bulb.
