Took my car to a garage and it's going to cost me a grand to fix.
New front pads, rotors, rear drums and shoes, and new tires.

I have no rear bumper, lights are cracked, e brake cable is seized, engine head is in danger of warping, need new starter, new plugs, new water pump, new belts

List goes on and on. I feel your pain and honestly it'll be cheaper for me to purchase a new car, which is what I'm slowly saving up towards

Hopefully you get enough saved before that thing your driving now explodes.

It's holding up in the short term. I'm looking to replace it I the next couple months

Last winter it was so cold. I went to put I the ebrake and it snapped. A couple days later I went to pop the hood and the lever snapped. And both headlights blew in one week. Lol this car is a headache.
I still need to pay for a tune up because it's running so rough. But I figure the brakes for first. Lol

jesus fuck you guys are lucky you dont live in ontario
they have "safety" and "emissions" laws by the sounds of it your cars wouldnt even be legal on the road
its a pain in the ass though cuz if something fucks up you pretty much gotta replace it and it can get expensive to safety and older vehicle
emissionsi s bullshit too its just a fuckin scam but you gotta pass that or you cant get it on the road even if you pass safety
