At work and haven't gotten a chance to try the queen deal. Are the missions fairly easy for a 27 Titan?

Its just story missions on "hard". its like doing the heroic daily story

Out of curiosity, what is the most effective way to get ascendant shards? I have a fully upgraded exotic helm and enough energy to fully upgrade my Patience and Time, however aside from public events and the weekly, I'm stuck searching for leg engrams to disassemble.

If I can get enough shards to fully upgrade my last legendary armor pieces, I'll hit 29 no problem

When doing daily heroic story, do the level 28 one. Its not that hard and will give you 2 ascendant meterials (shards or energy).

But you can only do that once a day, so another way is to farm. There is this cave (casino cave) on earth, im sure you heard about it, if not, its everywhere on youtube. By farming there, you will get alot of rares, and sometimes a legendary engrams. It only takes 20 rare engrams to level up your cryptarch, and you have a very high chance of getting a legendary from the post dude.

Queens wrath is also a good way. The items are very good, but if you get twice the same pieces, you can dismantle one of em. (Got 6x the same armor...lol).
