Don't think that's what he meant.....
There are people in the states that share his view on guns too
A lot actually

Too many if you ask me.

I have to agree with him a little bit.
I can't pinpoint my objections exactly because I don't know everything to formulate an opinion.
But, outside looking in it seems like gun control in the States is flawed.

There is no perfect system
You can put a control on guns and people will still acquire them illegally
If people are going to acquire them illegally anyways then I would like the right to own one legally to defend myself from them

Canada has gun control but the gun violence is 1/4th of the US gun violence
Canada's population count is also 100x lower than the US

So if you scale it then it's actually at least the same if not more(it's more)

It's better to have one and not need it rather than to not have one and need it
You can give me all the scenarios you want.
At the end of the day if a bad guy is threatening me or my family with a gun or knife, then I would like to be able to defend myself and them as best I can
Of course that's not to say I'm going to go looking to shoot him down. If I'm able to retreat and get me and/or my family to safety that would be priority. My self defense weapon is exactly what it is,a self defense weapon. I'm only going to use it if I have no where to retreat and have no choice but to use it.

The problem isn't gun control. Thats just a smoke screen.

The real problem is underlying mental health problems. Humans have a genetic predisposition to kill shit. We have suppressed it with our culture, but not everyone can hold the same values. The majority of the population realize that murder is bad, there is a small percentage that don't care.

Getting mental health care anywhere is pretty ridiculous.

Think its safe to say counties that have a zero gun acceptance or very strict rule are much better off, look at britain, even there cops dont carry guns and they have like 10000% less gun incidents than USA

That sucks, I'd be pissed if that happened to me.

Granted I've never locked my doors, probably coming to me.

I dont know the exact numbers and that sounds reasonable
Those countries are able to ban guns and good for them
But it's about what things are and not what things can be
We are not able to ban guns completely or be extremely strict on it. It's impossible in this country
