im not feeding off anybody im telling him  how it was hes prob never even played the game and still argues it  like he knows  anything really
if he could just accept cod  is lacking when it comes to servers  none of this would even happen but he wont becasue cods his fav game n the best game ever!

anybody that actual palys cod wouldnt tel lme that becasue its not true.. ive played cod games n know its not true  lol  dont even bother
and non dedicated servers are server that arent dedicated.. u cant figure that out? lol
so ppl paid for the servers and they were nmaed ea and shit not like jdawg is the best etc etc like older pc games ? get serious guy

Lol I wasn't alive during the Civil War yet I can use google to find out about that too. SSF4 is fav ps3 game btw if you want to throw down a few rounds and find out how much I like it. ;)

I don't know how to prove to you that you don't get constantly dropped from servers. The only time you're likely to get dropped is right after joining... after you're in a game you don't get dropped. Well, you threw me off when you said COD has neither. Users = non dedicated.
Do a google search and you'll see that EA offered the option for users to pay for servers. Most of those names are just default ones.. I see that all the time in CS and I know Valve isn't paying for servers.

They have non dedicated lol.
I know BF2 in console but they probably have a default server name. I think prior to BF3 you rented servers so maybe they didn't allow you to change it. Renting was probably the only option on PS2 since it's a console.
I searched console and they said users were allow to rent servers for BF2.

Regardless, dedicated servers don't guarantee lag free gaming and the popular BF playlists have twice as many players so dedicated would help a lot more for them.

You don't know what you're talking about. I spent 10 days on bc2 and I never dropped out of a game nor did it bring up the "host migration" screen... Ever
Dice has always had dedicated servers since like 07...
The only two games that I know on top of my head that don't have dedicated servers are call of duty games and halo games

I don't even know wth you're talking about in your first paragraph so I'm just gonna ignore it.

but dedicated servers do guarantee lag free gaming.. or else wth are they for? dedicated servers mean there is a dedicated server for the game you are playing on, so you don't have to rely on someone elses internet speed. the reason why you lag in CoD is because the hosts little brother is streaming porn on the other computer or his mom is checking her facebook n shit. wereas a dedicated server is dedicated for that one specific game. The reason why new release games with dedicated servers lag is because the developers don't know how much to account for their servers, more and more people buy the game during the first week so everytime they add a little juice to their servers it gets full, and that's why after week 1 or week 2 at the latest you won't encounter lag.

Why do you think so many people hate CoD and love BF? because it is truly the gamers game.. the developers CARE about us and give us what we want and they don't try to steal our money instead.

why would anybody pay money for aserver if they cant directly join it on console???
likei said it was prob pc u were reading up on renting and users paying for servers is more a pc thing.. ive never seen/heard of it on console
n ur right it doesnt gurantee non laggy gaming they could have dedicated servers over populated and end up with more lag.. but im yet to see it

Dragoneth said servers in BF2 were EA provided because they used some default server name with EA in it. I was responding to that.

Dedicated servers were made for PC because if the host crashed the game ended. It was especially needed in early PC gaming when everybody had garbage connections. They certainly aren't "lag free" since you don't have everybody in your game sitting next to the server. I don't lag in COD btw. If it lags it finds a new host and we keep playing... I lose like 15 seconds every 20 minutes. The longer I stay in the game the more likely I'm host so I'll pretty much never drop.

@bold: No idea what you're talking about here.

Lol I'm pretty sure COD has more fans. After all the garbage things EA has done in the past it must be hard to say they care with a straight face.

Ask EA... I found that they offered rentable servers for BF2 on console. I searched console bro, already told you this lol.

I played CS for 6+ years and I faced a lot of lag on quality dedicated servers even though I was only playing with 10 people. I can't see BF's dedis being any better. They're paying for them so obviously they'll try to save money whereas we had a very good dedi for CS matches.
