10 hour shift turned into 12 hours. Just got home. Sleep time then back to work in 9 hours

so my April Fools joke was a success!
I didn't plan far enough ahead to set up my video camera to record it but I have a mental recording that will last me a lifetime

So if any of you are unaware, I bought a PS4 last week but didn't really tell anyone
IE, my girlfriends 2 kids
I waited all week to tell them
so what I did was, I took their old PS2 and carefully wrapped it up in the PS4 box
wrapped up a controller and wires and even threw in some packing peanuts to fill in the gaps
I made this thing look totally legit lol

I got 2 big hugs and an "I love you" from each of the kids when they saw a present on the counter
and when they unveiled the gift and saw the word PS4 on the side of the box, they literally jumped out of their skin
I told them we should hook it up before school so her son grabbed the console out of the box
the look of joy of their faces was absolutely precious
little did he know he was holding his old, broken PS2
he pulled back the plastic and looked at the system and read...P....S....2!
APRIL FOOLS SUCKER!! lol
I haven't had fun like that in ages
they then proceeded to tell me that they hate me and they aren't my friend anymore lol

afterwards I had to show them the real thing
now they're at school and you know they're going to be thinking about it all day
and the best part is, when they leave school, they go to their dads house for the next 2 days
so for the next 2days all they are going to think about is PS4 and they wont get to see or touch it until Thursday afternoon
that's gotta suck! lol

because I would have had to stash it
holding a video camera in front of them at 630am would have seemed too obvious that something was up
it was absolutely hilarious though
I shattered 2 childrens feelings this morning and it felt marvelous! lol
they'll get over that though because they know i'll let them play on it
they want to play The playroom so bad, hopefully my camera comes today
ordered it Saturday afternoon and had it shipped next day

Hah

My 10 hour shift was indeed 10 hours today. I'm glad I can go back to sleep now
