Latest version of the PS3 uses up to 80W while playing a game.

Which that doesn't take a whole lot to cool. I'm sure the PS4 will probably use around the same watts and use the a cooler rated for such watts.

sony will require you to put it in an ice chest full of ice to play for prolonged hours

step one put game in console.
step two put PS4 in Sony PS4 Submerge Bag.
step three put Sony PS4 Submerge Bag into Sony PS4 Submerge Chest.
step four put ice into Sony PS4 Submerge Chest.
step five play games for up to 3-5 hours.
step six empty Sony PS4 Submerge Chest and repeat steps 1-5 as necessary.

unlimited playtime
will also give your character speed boost and immunity to fire

that just doesnt happen for no reason

They were still using dev kits. It wasn't the only thing that froze during E3, as did the Xbox.

If it were a heat issue it would shut off if it were hitting the TJ max.
