holy shit my ps3 just got sexy!
so this whole time I had a SD cord, which came with my ps3, so that's what I used
turn a long story short, my cables were stolen from me
so I went to gamestop the other night, bought another sd cord, power cable and an hdmi cord
because to change the display from SD to HD you still need the SD cables to boot up your system then you change your configuration from that point
so I changed my ps3's display from standard to hdmi last night and its soo beautiful now
to think ive been missing out this whole time, its like a brand new console its gorgeous! lol

there are ways to change the video settings without the sd cables


lol how are u just now realizing the importance of hdmi cables. I got mine from the dollar store (albeit it was like $4)

i couldn't access my ps3 without the sd cables first because my display settings was programmed for SD
I never really cared until I lost my last set of cables, so then when I bought new ones, I figured what the hell, upgrade 'em

You should've just been able to hold the power button wait for the beeps and it detects hdmi. No standard required
