I just finished The One Reborn and I've been upgrading both Hunter Axe and Ludwig. Ludwig out damages the Axe because of scaling but the Axe is still staggering everyone. I might hit for less but I can get combos in that I can't with Ludwig.

The run and R1 staggers an enemy, 3 more R1 finishes the combo, uses all my endurance and kills every enemy.

Fully charged strong attack clips through most any part of the map too.

I dobt like the hunter axe somehow
But i aggree its strong

Was playing with my 2h ludwigs (chargef attack ftw)
But decided to go on with the tonitrus overall but depends on the situation for sure

Also tonitrus is one handed whoch is a huge plus
