Naughty Dog has always done linear games ever since Crash Bandicoot. If they needed to make an entire world that you could explore development time would of taken forever and if they sacrificed the visuals they had right now it wouldn't be as crisp. Besides I like to know where exactly I need to go with not too much traveling to get straight to the action.
