How the fuck do you play this game. Seriously someone teach me how to not be shit, I'm really trying but nothing I do seems to work.

It's pretty easy IMO, just practise you'll get there buddy!

Every time i try to drift I slam side ways into the rail, I think I am doing it wrong.

Tap the handbrake just as you turn and accelerate through the corner, normally works for me. When I started I rode the handbrake too much and slid into every barrier.

Do you keep acceleration pressed or...?

I'm in the same boat. I was like this game is messed then a friend picked up the controller who actually plays racing games and wrecked shop with all types of cars. And I was like back to NFS for me.

I don't know, the game makes me a bit angry because the ai doesn't compensate for the player at all. If you are in a place their programming says they should be then they will slam into you over and over until you spin out, and YOU get docked points for vehicle collision even though they were ramming into you. What is the point of having ai that follows a set path exactly the same every single time you play?

break when you are going straight into the corner
if you break while turning u dont turn or break for shit n smash into the wall
but if you break you can usually coast around most corner and accelerate on the exit of the corner
