Any dedicated servers weren't being paid for by EA. They didn't pay for console dedicated servers until BF3.

If they had them it was probably like most PC games... users paid for them.

I don't see why dedicated servers is such a big bragging point anyways. The popular playlists in BF have a lot more people than that of COD. 12 players isn't even that much.

because having lag free gaming and not getting d/c and dropped to the game lobby is always nice to have
even if u do it through non dedicated servers im good with that.. cod doesnt do either tho
and users didnt pay for the servers they were named like "EA normal conquest" and shit lol

Just having dedicated servers doesn't mean it's lag free. Anybody who actually plays COD will tell you that you rarely get dropped from games.

EA didn't pay for them. They were paid for by users. Do a google search and that's all you'll find.



The thread was started to ask us for our opinions on the game. What better way to do that than speak about specific features in both games?

I very, very rarely get d/c'd in a CoD game. Happened at first when I was on wifi, but the only time I ever drop out, is on MW3, and that's 1/100 games. I don't drop on Black Ops at all now (only did on wifi), and the only reason I ever lag in that game is because I'll end up in Aussie servers from time to time.
