yeah, the presentation at the time of release was pretty ehh. for example your car kinda blurred when there was tire smoke. but now it's nothing but fantastic imo. The graphics are incredible and by far the best graphics I've seen from a console video game. Everything is so crisp and rich and the color tone is just nothing but greatness.
audio is meh. It can definitely be improved and Forza 4 has better audio. The car sounds fine from 3rd person view, but when it's in cabin/on the roof view the car sounds not so good.

But still giving 7 and 8's on those is pretty stupid. 9.5/10 would've been THE perfect score for that game. Like any game, GT5 has flaws too, but I don't think it's just for them to nitpick every tiny detail on the game such as "bad menu"

Yes. When I was playing I really felt like it would have been cool with a steering wheel.
BUT, and this is where you are going to hate me even more (lol), I found it too realistic. :O
It makes sense that if you hit a wall hard enough you will automatically lose the race but it doesn't make a fun game to me.
I like racers like Burnout and NFS.
It felt like a great simulator but not a fun game.

I can completely understand that. I guess I'm exactly the opposite of you. I hate playing bumper cars when I'm playing a racing game. And burnout and NFS are one of my least favorite racing games ever.. some NFS can be great like Most Wanted & Underground 2, but typically they aren't good at all. Racing games with cops = auto turn off for me lol, like midnight club

not many people like realistic racing games, but I absolutely love them. And GT5 did a fantastic job of letting the players still have fun and be great even if they don't have a wheel :)
