there will be more than 1 model, but all models on the steam that are listed are 3rd party made and they are like computers and are probably priced like pre builts are
the lowest priced one listed is $460 CDN and the way they list them isn't very good either as they just list specs, but for the market they should be showing things like benchmarks (ie. can run this game at these settings/under these conditions at xx fps) should be listed so they can have a better idea of how good each machine is before buying

All we can do is wait for more informations at this point

I dont think that this will sell as good as playstation/xbox

steam machines are basically PCs the games you'll play are the very same ones people grab on PCs, so you'll be connecting to everything they do normally
