Thinking about picking up a hand held console, I have read this thread from page 1.

I'm a little disappointed with the lack of games on vita. I was hoping for some bigger name ports, namely Dark Souls/Borderlands 2/(the badly reviewed)Fifa 13/Madden13 FPS Issues.

I'm just a little concerned over paying $250 AUD for a console Sony might just forget about in 18 months like they did the PSP.

I really don't want to go the 3DS route, my sister bought a Wii and the capacity for decent gaming just wasn't on offer - kind of turned me off Nintendo.

doubt you'd see a dark souls on the vita
but while it doesn't have a great overall library there are some really great games for it
as for 3DS personally i have just as many games for it as i do my vita, 2, but 3DS seems to be picking up more games lately i'm interested in (Fire emblem next month, Castlevania in March apparently, SMT4)

Thats just my problem, I love all Zelda titles on the 3DS but I can't handle the lacklustre cross platform ports of all the other games.

Thats where I want the PS Vita to blow my socks off with performance, just a little worrying seeing so little titles produced for the vita considering it has been out for at least 12 months

Soul Sacrifice is coming out early this year for the vita and its made by the same developers as dark souls

There are a lot of awesome games for the vita. I bought Persona 4 Golden on the psn just because of its near perfect score, knowing nothing about the game or series and its amazing. Playstation All-stars is competitive and fun as well. Disgaea 3 for the vita is supposed to be good so I'm going to get that next or Gravity Rush.

I've been playing ragnarok odyssy too. Its very similar to monster hunter or phantasy star.

Resistance is fun just very short ill platinum it this afternoon when I get home.

Gravity rush and uncharted are very fun as well

i own both systems and find it ps vita is better tho it lacks the games as 3ds

I have a Vita and my bro got a 3DS. My bro wants to switch now lol.
I would only suggest getting a 3DS over a Vita if you like Mario and Zelda,
other than that, I'd say the amount of quality games is similar.

Imo, I don't know how people play Mario. Sure it was amazing on the snes the first time around but it's like the same shit
over and over again. Good for nostalgia though.
