very disappointing night with BC2 tonight.

we did not win 1 game because I kept ending up with faggots/noobs.

for example, we were in a damn helicopter, heli was filled, and the fucking pilot purposly drove us in a restricted area....

Lol I hate it when people who clearly can't drive choppas, make a rush for the pilot seat.

And even if they must, when it completely fills up, they should realise and get out. But nah, lets just crash into a tree and get everyone killed instead.

Yeah they have to start somewhere, but there are plenty of occasions when a choppa isn't being used. Thats a much better time to practice, rather than when its full of people. Thats how I learnt to fly anyway.

Yeah but u still gotta pay attention to the passengers, see where they are shooting at, and try to keep the chopper steady or move around if the enemy is moving, so they can kill something while avoiding rocket launchers and AA's. imo it does take some mad skills to pilot efficiently.

Thats when you can actually fly the choppa.

IMO, if you are just trying to learn how to do some basic flying, you may as well do it with an empty choppa. If its full, chances are; you will either crash somewhere or fail to control the choppa and drive into a restricted area hence leading to the death of many, or the general choppa flying will be so dodgy, that the passengers are unable to do anything, hence wasting their time and the team's attacking or defensive efficiency.

Plus a choppa doesn't necessarily have to be a killing machine. It can be a good distraction or annoyance for enemies and say if you are attacking, it can be a very good way to sustain an attack for your squad by constantly providing an option to spawn and parachute deep into enemy terrority.

I got my veteran status by entering some kind of chat room with a BF representative. I've forgotten the site but it was linked from the neogaf BC2 forum.

In the chat room, I just told them what BF games I had, he asked me for my PSN, the email address I used to register on the EA servers and any serial numbers and then 1 minute later, he said "okay I've given you veteran status, can you just log on to make sure you have it and the M1 Garand". But now I don't actually like the gun.

And congrats about finding 1942 :P Im not even going to try looking for mine. Not seen it for so many years but Im fairly sure its in a random box, alongside 20 other dusty boxes in a highly unaccessible part of the house.
