also consoles can do a lot more with the hardware compared to a pc... ps3 was playing games that a pc with double the hardware specs prob doesnt even meet the minimum requirements

the difference in that is the fact that PC OS uses a lot more than a console OS does, which is why spec reqs for multiplat games can seem pretty high compared to what consoles provide

That is the only thing that consoles have that is better is the optimized graphical settings for the current hardware of the console and it is the main thing that is holding back PC gaming in the long run.

PC gaming doesn't cost nearly as much as people make it out to cost not to mention the amount you save on games.

sure my buddies pc shits on the ps4... he also paid $1500 for a motherboard ram vid card processor upgrades ... imagine he needed a new case? powersupply? that shits adds up
e: also in the lfiespoan of the ps4 i imagine that pc game reqs will prob take another step up maknig it even more expenisve tp upgrade if you didnt already go all out and get the top of the line shit meanwhile ps4 was stil ljust $400 and keeps on truckin

I feel the same way about consoles as I do my iPhone. Is there something better out there with more control over your own ecosystem, more options available, etc etc etc? Yes there is but my console does exactly what I want it to do and it does it every time with minimal hiccups. I game to game. I don't game to out spec every other damn person on the market. Just like my phone is a texting reddit machine. If I wanted to change the icon images and add widgets I'd buy an android. Same as if I wanted to play steam all day buy 7000 games I'll never play because they are on summer sale and then max out settings on 2-3 games every couple of years I'd invest in a better pc.

Who the hell cares? Play what you want to play do what you want to do and get over it that someone else doesn't like everything else you like.

Besides I thought we finished this when popcorn left.. If you keep responding the people you keep arguing with will keep coming back. Everyone needs to stop feeding the trolls. And yes I'm talking to both sides of the argument.

All I'm saying is PC gaming in the long run is a more solid investment than a dedicated gaming console.

i think he ment how cheap and often PC games go on sale for and lately I've been seeing PC versions of games starting at 50 instead of the usual 60 (SR4 for example)
