I agree. The "Harvest Moon" happens in October, why would you give thanks for a good harvest in November.

The "first" thanksgiving is of harvest in the 1600's.

The actual thanksgiving we observe wasn't actually made a national holiday until the mid 1800's which they say giving thanks to god for the events in their favor like the wars.
