maybe...take your time going into a place then and push select a few times yourself? and not get pissed at everyone else that cant see where you are?
such as like..example your in caspian border and your at D for conquest and ya...sniper cant see through trees and buildings?
+ who needs to rely on spot that much to actually get mad over it like this...i use spot like once or twice a match..lol no1 spots for me..and i dont play sniper so ya...

Who said you have to be a Scout to spot?

It's not the same as Bad Company 2 where it was "3d Spotting" and basically wall hack. In BF3 you can literally be standing next to a teammate who just spotted someone and you wont be able to see it simply because of an angle or element that is blocking your path; something as simple as a little tree branch 1/2 way between you and the enemy.

this is true hopwever u see them on the map and if u look where they are withnothing in ur way afterwards they show up as spotted still

im not i play engineer and support and i spot myself..+ 95% of the time i dont even need to spot like seriously if the persons there infront of my are you going to push r1 or push select?...hmm..ill push r1..
only other time i spot is when im in a helicopter so i can see tanks and shit thats bout it but other then that stop getting mad cuz u cant spot for urself

I press R1 and select at the same time, they usually die but if they don't ( I get headshot or something ) at least I know someone else will get them.

do you even know how useful spotting is to your team?

if you see a tank heading for an object, spot it, so your team will watch their ass and so your air support will take it out.
if you see one of your jets being chased. spot the pursuer or better yet use a stinger on him to distract him
hell when im in a jet ill head right toward objectives and press select and spot people
it bugs me that people rarely spot stuff when all it takes is less than a second
if you're teammates knows where every vehicles are you can easily take them out and can dominate land and air which equals easy wins
not only is it useful, you even get points for it

my left thumb lives on the select button. I've gotten so used to it hat I can run and spot at the same time without any negative consequence. It's almost effortless!



You're bad. Learn to play bf. i don't spot directly in front of me either, but if the enemy is too far away for me to kill, you bet your ass I called that guy out. And It only took 1 second of my time.
