I have already finished the games... not to spoiler anything, but it has its highs and downs.. some of the battles, especially end game ones are extremely epic ... some are dull as hell. Same story goes for plot, while some of the moments are touching and super emotional, other are not compelling at all.. overall a still very solid game.

I'm sad, from what i'm hearing this game is pretty short

wanted a longhaul 100+hr masterpiece. o well i am sure i will still love it. i'm about to get on the ferry.

Did pretty much everything i could to up to this point in the game so far, about 6 hrs in. Will do a huge grind this upcoming sunday when my wife is working

No, the main story by far is not 30 hours.. it is 20-22 tops if you indeed focus on main story only.. aside from that - the game suffers from one thing - the possibility to abuse the pots and shits all the time makes the pretty looking combat a mess that can be won under any circumstances more or less.

Can't say I agree the 13th chapter alone takes 5-6 hours. And pots are hard to abuse in the higher level combat. I'm not saying the game is perfect as I have my own opinions of flaws as well but just don't nessisarly agree, I didn't get any game overs but overall I still saw the combat to be challenging.

Yeah are you guys playing on easy with wait mode on or something? I'm at chapter 3 at 8 hours and almost got wiped on my last big fight. Have to go do some side quests to grind up a bit.

Playing on normal, never even tried wait mode - aside from the moment i tried to kill lvl 40 while being more or less level 12 and not having any spells, i never wiped in the game.. didnt even rip on final fights or whatsoever.. and no, im not some kind of pro - dark souls or ninja gaidens rip me like crazy

Some dungeons later in the game after you beat the story take some time. Im not looking stuff up and there is a pretty rough jump puzzle and other mazes with multiple bosses making things time consuming. I was level 50 once I beat the story and had majority of the side quests completed which made the main story really easy.

I have finished with lvl ~38 on Noctis.. i will return to the game though to do the side-quests and the dungeons .. just need a short break after finishing the main story.

And not to sound like I disliked the game - I absolutely loved it, just I see that it has its flaws. As far as the emotional aspect of the game goes, I literally had tears in my eyes at one point around middle of the game - really beautiful cinematic there. People who have finished the game know prolly which one I am talking about.
