no the $10 upgrade was only for like the first 3-5 months ps4 came out or something like that thats way long gone iirc
and no u cant play ps3 games on ps4 its not backward compatible becasue it was built more like a pc so noob developers wouldnt bitch about it like the ps3

you ps+ carries over assuming you use the same account on ps3+ps4+vita and every month u get free games for each of those usually

even if you were to get a ps4 with no games if u have ps+ u get like a couple of free games

if u try to play games onlnie that req ps+ before getting ps+ i think u can get a free 10 day trial or something from some games and then get acces to those free games for 10 days
also idk if they do anymore but my ps4 came with a $10 psn card which i used for a 1 month ps+ sub which could by u some time if ur broke after getting the ps4 itself

There's only a handful of Indies that are cross buy between ps3/ps4
I haven't seen a 10$ Upgrade in some time now
The most you'll be able to upgrade for a few bucks ($4.95 iirc) is Minecraft PS4 edition, unless you have that on disc for ps3 then that options out

Best was the Destiny bundle. Pure white PS4 and controller with no pictures on it, just as I like it. Blends in better with other furniture.
