MS got off the pay Activision train, probably at the right time. CoD sales are plateauing. Only time would tell if getting it early pays off in the end, but either way CoD is not looked at the same way it used to be.

Sony probably got a good deal on the exclusivity if MS didn't want it anymore.

FF7 isn't confirmed one way or the other. They just said Play it first on PS4. No verbiage about exclusivity console or otherwise. But that game is so far off it's not even funny. The director of the project didn't even know he was supposed to be heading it up. Probably 3 to 4 years at least and the recent string of long dev cycles from SE is not promising.

I know. That's why I'm not too hopeful. Since they'll miss the 20th anniversary in 2017, they'll probably go for the 25th anniversary.

Square is just crazy and they announce games even before predev. I dont know what the hell they are up to.

I prefer the opposite approach that Bethesda took with Fallout 4. I don't want to hear about a game and then forget about it because it was announced 5 years before.
