I dont either. But I do use the shield in Dark Souls.

idk exactly how dodging is in BB, but how it appears looks far better than dodging in DaS2 is, since DaS2 is a pure roll and requires making use of iframes for the most part
BB sidestep looks much better for a dodge mechanic than the roll does xD

and remember this game doesn't reward being really aggressive like BB does

I played demons souls but didnz make it to the end
I prefer bloodborne over it though, but i have dempns souls as a epic game in mind idk ehy i didnt finish it

DaS2 has it's differences from that too
limited spell casts between bonfires, consumable healing items heal you very slowly (and you tend to find far less of them compared to what DeS had), primary healing item heals you over time faster (but is very limited, you start with a 1 cap and by the end you'll have capped at 11 or 12, maybe more if the DLCs added more of the cap raising item)
not to mention weapons durability drops fast as fuck since they're tied to frame rate so having 2-3 or more weapons you switch between will be kind of normal

I will still buy it. Maybe when its cheaper maybe st full price idk yet.. Have too many games to play atm ^^

youll get used to it and there is items you can consume which restores spell uses

and weapons dont really break that fast, sometimes rings do but not weapons. regardless there is repair powder you can buy and find
