Because they mass produce them and anyone can make them. It's like when they start making a good product overseas. The quality drops, but the production goes up. That is what is happening to indie games at the moment.

But to see people immediately dismissing them when they are paying no extra money for them baffles me.

well they're "mass produced" because people have ideas for a game they want to make, so they make it



i don't mind indie games, some of them can be pretty good
