I'm not persuading anyone into buying anything. Read my first post. I tell the guy that I suggest he go with what feels right to him. I told him most of the people in this sf are bf fanboys, and will tell him BF3. These aren't lies, and I'm not telling him to run out and buy it.

Rest is fanboy nonsense.  EA was too cheap to buy dedicated servers up until 2011... and given their record with shutting down just MATCHMAKING servers early, I doubt you'll have dedi's for long.  12 player games, where the vast majority of players will find themselves, do not need dedicated servers rofl.

EA didn't provide them, if they did. BF3 is the first time they provided dedis on console.

im pretty sure if ur game had online u had to provide the servers
every game had different accounts it wasnt 1 linked acc like the psn is today
e: + the servers were set up exactly like they are on bf3 with the browser n shit too so id almost gurantee they were

it wasnt just match making they had empty servers up u could join if it was user hosted there would never be empty servers to join
