depending on rifle twist and what type of ammo youre using
5.56mm(used in aug) can travel up to 3000 meters
5.56 at 1000 meters is still dangerous and it's possible and people do it at the ranges I go to
it can travel that far

Wasn't arguing with you was just saying the longest reaching Assault Rifle in Battlefield has it's bullets disappear at 1005 Meters

you really have to compensate even for 1000
i can only image 3000 you'd lose track of it
but it's still probably the closest to realism that any shooting game has reached
i cant even imagine why anyone would even shoot 3000 yards with an aug since at that range it would take 10 shots
but yes a 5.56 can travel 3000 meters but maximum efficiency ends at 600 meters
