so after researching a bit on the web, I just went out and bought the key components into turning my 160GB Slim PS3 into a 500GB
I wanted a 1TB but unfortunately there wasn't any currently left in stock
500 will just have to do

It's super easy to do. I did mine last Christmas when I got PS+ because my hard drive was full.

I just signed up for a year of ps+ 2 nites ago
and the 15GB I have remaining just wont cut it
I watched a tutorial of a guy doing it with 4 games saved to his HDD and the backup and restore took him just over 2 hours all together
(an hour for the back up another hour for the restore)
I have 55 games saved to my HDD, granted some are small and others are larger
I can only imagine it would probably take me literally well into the next day to finish my file transfers lol

they killed my childhood movie
