So Keiji Inafune is making a spiritual successor to megaman and is using kickstarter to fund it
they already passed the 900k they've asked for in like 48 hours, but I'm hoping it gets to 2.5m cause then they'll make the game for consoles as well
Really not onboard with this game, first thing i thought kickstarter was for small time devs not famed directors like inafune. There's no way he cant get a loan from the bank with his track record and experience in the field to either fund his game or start an entire studio.
then there's what he's saying about the game. he said today or sometime this week that the game was almost exactly like megaman because that's his style. Problem is he went on record several times saying he created neither megaman and megaman X. That only means he's using the megaman image to get more money, again from kickstarter which should be for the smaller players in the industry.
and finally today Renegade Kid (mutand mudds dev) said they'd love working with him on a 3ds version, they had to reach out to him on twitter, indicating that he didnt even try to see if studios were interested in the project before going to kickstarted
and finally he's been complaining a ton about the unoriginality in the japanese game industry and what is his solution? a megaman ripoff that looks completely unoriginal
