Wow really? I didn't know when do you think it'll become available for consumers, and how much do you think it'll be??

Aprox $300 for the consumer version, that is what they are aiming for. They want it to be affordable for the mass market. Won't come out till next year though most likely.

Which is a fucking amazing price for a 3d display head mount that tracks your motion as well.


Sony has their own 3d headmount display, but it is $800 and no where near as indepth as the rift from all the reviews. It is really the head tracking that gives the huge sense of depth and being in the game.



Most likely if the rift takes off (which it will on the PC at least because of the amazing modding community can add it to virtually ANY game), their will probably be a Sony version of the rift that would be added to the ps4, hard to say if consoles will ever get support (doubt it)

Not TOOO bad of a price I suppose, but yeah maybe I will buy one after college. but for now I'm dead broke haha, can barely even afford the PS4

edit: since I can't just buy the Rift, I would need to buy/build a good computer to enjoy it 100% as well
