It's a mob called "Brownie" really small ghoul looking things kind of like Boggarts.

No lol. NPCs interact with each other sometimes.

Yeah, you are also given starting stuff, like 8 pots, starting gear for might type, finesse, sorcery etc. I also find it if you do (as far as I know) you don't get many bugs either.

There may be a possible workaround to the demo timer but there is no saving.

Lol. I read on the actual reckoning forums but the person was on PC. They said right when the time ran out, they fast traveled to the one faction place (can't quite remember the name) but when you do fast travel there it will say you'll need the full game to go inside and that's when it showed his time was removed. I'll get the name of the place soon but its in the second "bubble area" on the right side.

*Also your time doesn't start until a bit after you exit the well. Only starts until you are completely done talking to Agarth.
