The VADS was basically a minigun that ripped through helicopter armor. Zulu or w/e is the 8 shot flak gun.

I think they added the VADS later on in the game, but I don't know.

It's been so long since I've played BC2 that I honestly don't remember shit
I just remember it was on Atacoma Desert spawn bases and it was a 3 round burst and that did some serious damage to helicopters.
That was a serious AA gun... the AA guns in BF3 are utter bullshit. no one ever gots on them to take down enemy aircraft because they're so weak and bullets travel so slow

They are seriously overpowered in BF3

that is if you get into the one at the enemy spawn
