well not really... The HWC of the world is that because he consistently betters the absolute best in the world. Same with any "top dog team"..
they dont get any credit for beating unknowns or bottom tier competition. as stated by a couple people, my reaction is also based on the fact that I know you're just playing every and any game mostly being bad/ unbearable products.
specifically why I said "such life" because in my eyes you gotta have a pretty pathetic life to invest time into such unbearable games. ( if you have some kind of disorder or disability preventing you from such experiences im truly sorry )
but if not have you ever stopped to think that if you put a fraction of the time spent hunting into a real career, that with that determination you could be very successful in real life?

all those years through my mid teens - early twenties, if I could take all the hours spent on D2 and translate them into a career... woah I can't imagine where I'd be or how I'd be living right now.
TLDR lol
I'm not going to break it down into how successful 1 could or could not be, I have a good job, 2 actually and my bills are paid, as I've said before
It seems that You're thinking about trophy hunting way too hard
Its like this...
Most of these people on this sub forum spend all of their time (when it comes to games) playing 1 or 2 different games
Me, I spend that same amount of time beating said games and then moving onto another
Essentially, everybody on this website could have a massive amount of achievements/trophies on their accounts like I do, but they are stuck playing 1 or 2 games, as for me..I just keep moving onto another game after I beat 1
Its like you think all I do is game game and game..I'm lucky if I jump on my consoles twice a week for more than 2 or 3 hours at a time lol
