i had the same problem. looked up online a bit and what helped me is buying a corvette zr1 and buying the $365,000 racing modifcation on it. then upgrade it to the max and look up online for the best tuning settings, and cake. you'lll fly by every1

use the vette for like the wind, and once you win it, you get a minolta 88c-r toyota race car that you can use for all stars which rapes the game

Technically, I could win them in the Zonda R if I just practice some more on Nurburgring and work a bit on consistency on the 4th and 5th tracks. Those races aren't really that hard in reality if you know what you are doing. I can literally put 5 seconds a lap faster than any of the DP cars on the first 2 tracks when I don't fuck up badly.
