So I just picked up this game on the weekend, and I feel like I'm doing something wrong because it seems extremely hard to level up .. Granted I've been doing more exploring than questing...
Anybody have any advice on what to do and how to go about getting a lot of xp/crowns?
I've just reached Velen.

Still hearing a lot of mixed things on this game, no idea if I want it or not yet (I'm a fan of skyrim)

leveling is supposed to be slow im only level 12 atm with almost 50 hrs in

Just do side quests and check all question marks. Take your time playing it as it's supposed to be slow. 51 hours in and I am lvl 14

Okay, that's basically what I've been doing but a lot of the question marks I go to I get my ass kicked lol..
I guess I just don't understand the game very much.. Though I've noticed with the Axii sign I can 1 hit people occasionally?
How do I do this? Cause sometimes I do that and it doesn't work.. What triggers it?

Use your signs, potions, craft gear and so on. Do the viper quests for the viper weapons, so you can craft them, but you'll need emerald dust or w/e it was to make it. (you get it from wraiths/noon wraiths and by buying from blacksmith). edit: you should get emerald dust from the devil under the well or w/e the quest name was, as you gotta kill a noon wraith, if you don't get it, then reload last check point and kill it again. It's easy, can do at lvl 1 or 2.

I believe the 1 hit thingy is just random critical strike, don't really know lol.

Oh yeah and loot everything from monsters, streets and houses. Sometimes you get good weapons/armors or other good stuff from crates.
