Silent Hills Rumored to Come to Xbox One

An anonymous source has reportedly told Rooster Teeth that Microsoft is in talks with Konami to purchase and release Silent Hills as an Xbox One exclusive.

Silent Hills is 80% complete, and Microsoft is trying to purchase the property for "billions" of dollars by E3 this year – where it will officially reveal the games as an Xbox One exclusive.

kinda makes sense why pt was pulled from psn store

PT was Aug 2014 and would not have been the vertical slice if the game was presumably around 50% complete at that time.

i'd highly doubt this since the series sales are always fairly low, so it would be a huge loss to pay billions for it

while i agree that the game was likely nowhere close to finished, the house thing was likely developed independant of the game as it was simply a teaser, a teaser that only 1 ending actually told you what the teaser was even for

Agreed on the teaser part, I don't think the teaser was really indicative of the games progress whatsoever. I'd be surprised if it was more than 25% done as a whole.

not to mention i think I heard that it was a decent few months before they announced the cancellation that the director person mentioned the contract with konami related to the game had expired or something

the rumor that Microsoft was going to buy Silent Hills is NOT TRUE
watch this short video, Phil Spencer from MicroSoft said himself that this rumor is false...
