Yeah having at least 2 would be nice. I would be surprised to start seeing 4k content in the near future since a few tv stations switched to "HD" not too long ago. The new display port iterations are more than capable of handling 4k but of course it's PC and a few mobile devices.

The higher end TV's that i've seen are starting to include 5 HDMI ports but at least 1 port with HDMI 2.0 or 2.0a assuming to save on cost both days. If I were to take a guess we won't see a new HDMI port iteration until 2016 or so.

Should I wait until 2016 to get a new 4k then?
Price drops?

It's really up to you. I don't know if you are set on a 4k right now or will be fine with 1080p. I'm not sure when 2.0a came out but 2.0 came out back in 2013.

No doubt 4k will drop in price right now with competition.

The price of 4k right now isn't really that expensive.

The price of 4k/4k itself i'd say is half the battle. You wouldn't want potatoes for your inputs on the TV.

4k is nice, but in my opinion if the ports can't really drive 4k at enjoyable rate I am less inclined to get it right now.

I looked up a few Samsung and Sony they don't have many HDMI ports. I couldn't see the pictures well enough to see what HDMI ports they are.
