Hard off. I actually fear something is going to go wrong while I'm not home and it burn put rather then something bad happen in when I power on.
I lose out on a lot of features of the ps4 though.

feel like if its off it would be safer and ever notice when u go to put it in rest mode it says" don not unplug ac cord"
what happens if the power goes out or somthing? brick the ps4? rest mode seems to have issues
