? It makes no difference at all, your current slim HDD draws power from your PS4, all this is a casing for a larger 3.5" HDD which will draw power from your PS4. Regardless unless you use your PS4 as a media device (ie movies, screen recording and whatnot), this data bank is more of a niche product thna anything. Plus a 1TB mechanical 2.5" 7200prm isn't all that expensive in the first place (its like $80 lol), where the same 3.5 is like $60, at the end the databank + HDD might end up being more expensive.

Does it replace your HD or add-on? If it add's on the PS4 wont be optimized to power it, who knows if it wold make a difference though.

I am pretty sure it'll replace the current slot since there is only 1 slot in the ps4, you can't connect 2 HDDs into one sata port, the only reason I see this useful is if you find a cheap HDD or a used one or if you already have one.

For your pc should buy an external or make your own, I have all my games installed on that and my movies, music and stuff on my main HDD.

As for a ps4 I agree space will be a huge issue, current games are 25-50GB each which means about 10 games on the stock drive :( and as more demanding games get released, they will only take more, I hope Sony soon realizes this and adds external drive support soon even if its through some proprietary device or a Sony made external, I'd still buy it lol.
