OK so ive tried to remote play with my vita (once) but it was a failed effort
1: its highly recommended with streaming and remote play that your ps3/ps4 be hard wired to the internet. I'm wireless. I have a good connection but not the best
2: apparently not all games are supported with remote play. So maybe that was my issue. Maybe the game I was trying to play didn't support remote play. Idk
3: unfortunately handhelds are a failing market. With all these tablets and smartphones out there, the average consumer doesn't have anymore room on there person to carry a portable gaming device. SONY has already officially announced they won't be releasing anymore AAA titles for the PS vita. Its now only going to be used for indies, streaming with PS now, remote play. And it'll also be functional with Project Morpheus (if that even gets past the concept stage) project Morpheus is a virtual reality project Sony is working on.

You say you had the PSP and loved it. Id say Get the PS Vita, you'll love it even more! And now with the release of PS TV, you can play your vita games on your bigscreen! It has a lot of functions and the possibilities are still growing

Smartphones and tablets are complete shit to game on. Even if the Vita is the last Sony handheld Nintendo will continue making dedicated handheld gaming devices.

I'm still going to buy a Vita this Christmas. There are enough games that I know I would play. I play the hell out of my 3DS as it is so I know I would play another handheld.

Yeah..I get that..but when the average person is lugging a smartphone around in there pocket..and carrying there iPad and possibly a laptop with them..said person doesn't have the carrying capacity for a possibly 3rd, 4th or even 5th electronic device to be hauling around..and you cant just shove a vita in your pocket like a 3ds..Vita's don't fold up..and if you don't wanna mess up your analog sticks..you need a case for it when traveling..I'm not bashing on handhelds..I'm just a realist..as far as Nintendo's success..that's like comparing apples and oranges and that's a whole different topic..the differences in games..prices..etc..I think everyone should get a vita..I think they're great don't get me wrong or confused..but buyer beware..they're not at the top of Sony's priority list
