The gaming community is so harsh towards this franchise, it's almost embarrassing as a gamer to see so much hatred.
They try to do something "different", they add new features every single game, but it's still not enough. Gamers are just too picky about this franchise, yet it still remains the best selling fps ever.
It's now completely past the point where people will discredit the game entirely even before playing it for a respectful period of time.

Than sports games, racing games and other games that follow the "one year release" schedule.
With all this said, I don't have time to play cod anymore. Even when I do have time, I'll just play bf3 (same map every time) for an hour and my fps crave will be cured.
I don't generally play any yearly release titles though..... I won't be buying the new bf and AC seems stale too now. But I don't see where that came from considering no one here was bitching
