A "gaming" laptop is a niche item; a laptop is not. You're spending 1600 dollars on something custom built with inferior parts to do a specific job that is essentially unneeded beyond specialized marketing.

Literally saying, "I can't afford the tickets too FanEx and Dark Souls 2 for PC, so I have to choose one." makes people assume you mean you can't actually afford both.

Gaming laptops, or you like to call them "gaming" laptops, are not what they use to. My laptop can outperform my ps4. You can now buy a gaming laptop and use it in place of a desktop if you so desire. Calling a gaming laptop niche is outdated and would refer to what gaming laptops use to be.

I'm not doom. When I said I couldn't afford it, it meant I didn't want to spend that much on entertainment. But, if you are caught up on what I said and continued to read you would have read that I was going to buy both. If you are going to use the argument "well that's what you said" at least read everything I said.

You'll need to spend more once you're there so you'll be spending over your $50 limit

With your response it definitely sounds like you didn't understand his point
I will stay out of it though
I personally wouldn't get a $1600 laptop unless I was going to use it with more than the sole purpose of running video games on it
