Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I'm flexible with my budget (obviously based on this thread lol) so i'll def consider those Sennheisers. I've heard of them quite a bit.

I saw that deal. I've decided to pass on the 598s while I save up for some HE500s

558s are an excellent choice

If you did get the hd 558s, you can actually perform a "foam mod" which takes ~5-10 mins, and is just removing a little piece of foam over top of the speakers inside the headphones



It just opens up the sound and pretty much makes them on par with the hd 598s. Me and two of my friends have the hd558s with the removed foam and all love em
