Can't get plasma here, elevation too high and it fucks with the T.V. or that's what we were told when we got our T.V.

You have fucking idiots if you ever took a plasma over a led del technology.

Here some of the reasons why you should NEVER pick a plasma TV.

Energy Efficiency:
Plasma TVs are less energy efficient than LED-lit LCD TVs. According to Which magazine, a 42 inch screen LED-lit LCD TV will use an average of 64 watts, while an average 42 inch Plasma TV uses 195 watts.

Reliability:
HDTVs are generally highly reliable. LED-lit LCD TVs are considered to have a lifespan of 100,000 hours, although they have not been in use long enough to have extensive information on their long-term reliability.
According to PC World, users of Panasonic’s plasma TVs rate them highly reliable, with very few serious problems. In 2010, just 1 in 20 Panasonic users reported a major problem with their TVs. Older plasma TVs have a lifespan of 20,000 hours, although some newer TVs have up to 60,000 hours.

^ no, plasmas are way better now... a high end plasma vs. a high end LED, the plasma is better in literally every single way except for the lighting situation if your room is too bright. And if you worry about paying 2 dollars extra for your electric bill each month, if that, I guess.

Energy efficiency isn't a factor for me
I think I made it pretty clear for 2 to 3 pages that picture quality and console to screen performance was what I was aiming for
Thank you for your input though
I am still satisfied with my purchase and my friends/family also see the picture quality difference
I already have a high end led in the living room
I don't game for hours straight for days straight so I highly doubt I would even hit 60000 hours within the next 3 year's
And I will have probably bought a 4k tv at that time once that becomes the standard by that time

I would have to spend ridiculous amount of time playing games in order to hit that 60000 hour life within 3 years
even if 60000 was the actual life span which i doubt
