My tv auto turns on to the correct input when I turn on ps3 or ps4. Even if I'm just switching between the two it does it automatically and it's a 4.5 yr old Philips

Yes. I only use my tv remote to change volume and turn off my tv at night

depends on what games you play and where you'll be putting this.

if fps and your room, get a monitor and put it on a desk.

if other, 32-37 is a pretty good size - 42 max.

and LED LCD w/e

i will always recommend the monitor option though - best gaming experience for fps

Look for a television with a high native resolution, progressive scan, matte screen, 240Hz refresh rate, a true LED backlit, and backlevel and brightness if you will be playing in a low light environment.
Compare those specs against brands you like to try to find a good deal.
Other things to take into consideration is viewing angle, if you have a large viewing environment, and the audio.
