Rofl, I didn't even need to read any further

do not ask Walmart employees about shit, all they get paid is to lie to people to buy their products and thats about it...

if u want great customer service go to best buy.

and no u wont be able to see much of a difference on a 32 inch 720 vs 1080p

but u will see difference in 1080i and 720p

dont get 1080i

ight then, i guess there is no point in getting 1080p/i on a 32"

ill just go with a 720p 32 inch tv.

thanks for help guys.

so i got some cash and im looking to buy a 32" inch htdv LCD for my dorm.

i got 2 questions:

1) is there really a big difference from 720p to 1080p?
2) do name brands really matter when buying a tv? Like for example, DYNEX or Vizio or some shit brand that no1 ever heard of, i mean they are still tv's and they still work...
Im still playing on my 15" TOSHIBA tube tv that i got 8 years ago, when TOSHIBA was a shit brand and no1 heard of it.. now its pretty well known.

is it worth a few more bucks to get a sony, sharp, samsung, etc ??

I bought a 32 inch hdtv lcd like 2 months ago
its called Haier, its a japanese mark, its not very known but with the hdmi cable its good quality, it cost me only $420 without hdmi

if its 720P capable it should be able to do 1080I for sure... I have a 60Inch 1080 P sony and a 28Inch 1080P hanns G for a pc screen/ps3 usage and you honestly won't see to much of a difference from 720P to 1080P

720 vs 1080p does not matter in 32"

Do not get a Dynex or some shit brand unless you plan on buying an extended warrenty.

You dont need to go as expensive as Sony or Samsung.

Philips is good and not real expensive. My whole home theater is philips and no problems.

720HP is fine since your eyes can only notice 450 i believe?

Brand- Major issue here.
dynex is ok but top brand on tvs are actually Sony...

on a 32 inch 720 and 1080 isnt much a of a difference(from what im told
most of the games out nowadays are only 720p/1080i like uc2 mw2 etc etc
and id stay away fron dynax ive seen a few of their tvs most had bad pic.. my friend had a 42 inch that cracked n died like 2 weeks after like 4 months of use
not a very long life time its pretty much a disposable tv
e: another thing to look for is colour conrtrast.. the higher the better

ok being a former walmart employee and gaming enthusiast....... DO NOT BUY A VIZIO, that being said follow me and I'll show you my reasoning. 1 they are built cheaply 2. I've seen a shitload be returned 3. they blur out after 4-5 hours of use. If your going to buy a tv for gaming go for sony or samsung, they are the best tbh ( I own a sony bravia 32" and LOVE it)
