anyone know the difference between Comfort, Sports, and Racing tires?
Comfort tires have lots of grooves on them for more comfortable ride on the streets. They also last a long time. However, compared to Sports and Racing tires, they provide barely a fraction of the grip.
Sports tires have less grooves on them, so hitting any small gravel or rocks on the street is felt alot more, and the tires last alot shorter. However, they do get much better grip.
Racing tires have no grooves on them, and are generally wider. They can generally only last a few races at best, and in most places are considered illegal to drive on the street since you have absolutely no grip in rain. Of course, they provide the best grip period when it's dry asphalt.
