What do you guys think about actual competitive making its way into destiny?

I'm curious as to how big it will get

Pretty excited, actually. Destiny PvP is the only multiplayer I actually like nowadays, so I'm pumped to see it finally getting some MLG love.

Also pumped for the private matches. Makes the process of organizing scrims far easier, so perhaps I can maybe start exploring that side of things, as I've been wanting to recently.

Not sure how big it will get, very curious myself to see how GameBattles is going to pan out on Destiny. Eager to see the matches.

Mlg has already announced a tournament so with them hosting I imagine it will be well done

There was also a Tweet recently about Destiny now being on GameBattles.

As for spectating, Bungie hasn't released anything yet that indicates they will have a spectator mode.
For all unofficial tournaments leading up to now, the participants simply stream on Twitch and the casters will watch the stream and comment whilst watching.
I imagine it will be similar. But if they do actually have a spectator mode, I will be very excited.

the only tourny with actual casters was the bungie invitational thing they did with the taken king
