It is just an amplifier. For it to work on your computer it would need a digital audio converter. Also it would need a lot more power.

Gotcha. On a computer I can probably just replace the sound card.

I'm on vacation now so I'll order when I get back home on Sunday

You can't on motherboards as they are onboard.

Only if you actually have a soundcard then you can.
