God I suck at this game, cant even do the easiest of the Strike playlist without dying multiple times.

ahh we did not explain everything in great detail because w had 5 people who knew the raid really well. basically it goes like this:

sync plates: need to stand on them to control them. outside its to set up the tower. inside it is to keep the portals open for the portal team.

confluxes: if enough vex sacrifice themselves to it, it wipes the raid. on the templar fight it cycles through phases where it is center, then left & right, then all 3 you have to protect. that is why we do 3 teams of 2. in the gatekeeper boss, there is one conflux in the center you have to protect after you grab a relic.

oracles: they try to wipe your raid if you dont kill them. they mark everybody for negation. you have to be cleansed either by the pool of light on the templar fight or by the relic holder.

theres more to it, but the raid went great. im sure we will do normal again at some point on alts and you can come along then too. you definitely need to get a mic if you want to group with other people though.

as for the loot dont worry about it. that is why i was giggling at 2 raid pieces from normal because it is very rare. i went through a 3 week stretch on my hunter doing the hard mode where all i needed was arms to hit level 30 and all i got from the raid was shards/energies even with double drops from hard mode. i think i only got 2 weapons during that stretch, and countless chatterwhites and legendary ships. keep at it and the loot will come.

No worries. It put me in a new role so I was a little off too. We were all there at one point. Just gotta get ya some more experience

Nightfall have better exotics chance than tiger strike? Doing nightfall more than weekly quest. Or it is just random like crucible?

First Legendary finally wew, helm from vendor. Level 24 atm.

Grind patrols and bounties and level up any faction you want. Easiest is vanguard IMO because I don't like grinding crucible marks. When you reach level 2 you can buy all the gear you want provided you have the marks. Hopefully while doing patrols and such you'll get lucky and find a piece here and there. Up until about 28 the only stat you should care about is light. Forget the rest exist.

Also level 24 tiger strikes are great to level your cryptarch. I get a legendary every 5 or so levels from him and it's been vanguard armor and such. I almost have a fully geared Titan and hunter and I haven't even reached 20 on them. Also a good source of strange coins so you can get that sweet sweet xur loot

Fair enough, not sure about Strikes though since I can barely keep up on the easiest ones let alone Tiger ones. Marks are probably gonna be my best bet, need a better weapon though. =/

Strikes will come with the gear. Get the marks first then move on to strikes

Ill probably try to leech some Strikes rofl, i absolutely cant stand patrol missions + half the bounties I get are terrible
